Bill RossBill Ross has over twenty-five years of experience in public policy issues, including ten years as a public official for the state of Alaska. Prior to founding Ross Strategic, he culminated his public sector career as Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Since 1987 he has led the firm in establishing a national reputation for assisting public sector agencies in addressing critical emerging environmental and natural resource issues. The firm assists clients in all realms of environmental programmatic arenas and provides expert assistance ranging from information management and analysis, to policy and program development, to stakeholder engagement and mediation. The firm is committed to helping clients find more effective, efficient, and inclusive ways of improving and sustaining environmental and public health protection.

Mr. Ross is a respected advisor and convener of public agencies and their stakeholders in a wide-ranging array of issues and situations. His work is well known locally, regionally, and nationally. Bill is renowned for his ability to assist clients understand the essence of their organizational and issue-specific challenges, develop proactive and effective strategies, and engage both internal and external constituents to create enduring and successful solutions. He is a skilled facilitator and mediator, expert in both group process and organizational dynamics. He specializes in assisting public environmental agencies initiate dialogue on needed changes, identify successful outcomes, and establish structures and relationships integral to implement and sustain those outcomes. Bill is currently emphasizing ecosystem restoration, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and developing sustainable partnerships in his practice.
